Meg Kirby

I am so passionate about supporting people from all walks of life to discover true freedom, to begin to deeply trust the wisdom of their body, feelings and whole-being, and, to fall in love with life – having the ability to notice what is good, what is beautiful and nourishing even in difficult and challenging times.

I have been working in the Mental Health, Wellness and Leadership Coaching fields for over 25 years. I currently work as a Psychotherapist, Mental Health Social  Worker, Consultant, Personal Development and Organisational Leadership Coach, Supervisor and Trainer – training Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Equine Assisted Learning, Animal Assisted Psychotherapy, and Nature Assisted Therapy (including horses, animals and nature in experiential learning, personal development, psychotherapy and healing from trauma).

I have been Training psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, psychologists, teachers, organisational consultants and horse people in equine assisted practice, and I have been doing that now for over 10 years!

I am a Gestalt Therapist and Mental Health Social Worker of 23 years with a passion for personal and spiritual development with horses, animals and nature!  I love, live and learn with my extended family- my husband, Noel, daughters Rose (21) and Jasmine (16), our beautiful Japanese Spitz Bear, lop-eared rabbit Darcy, three Ragdoll (and one ragdoll-cross (feral!)) cats, and our stunning herd of 12 arabian, arabian-cross and friesian horses in country Victoria, the Daylesford region, Australia.

My courses draw upon the wealth of human wisdom I have been fortunate enough to learn – in the teachings of mindfulness psychotherapy, gestalt therapy, somatic trauma therapy and neuroscience – as well as incredible horse wisdom, animal wisdom and nature-based wisdom I immerse in and teach, everyday. I like to think of it as one ‘newer wisdom’ (psychology and psychotherapy wisdom) meeting an ‘older wisdom’ (horse wisdom and the wisdom of the natural world).

Every day my dreams come true, as I witness clients and students come home to themselves – to a place of new awareness, embodiment, choice, emotional intelligence, valuing uniqueness and an intimate connection to self, others and the world– with horses, animals and the natural world or country, supporting this deeper connection and healing process in a unique, experiential way. It is incredibly rewarding supporting people to connect to true freedom and beauty, that is already here.

I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey to truly Trust your-Self, Feel Nourished and Discover True Freedom.
